Last weekend I got the VIP treatment from Body Tissue when they sent wonderful therapist Tebs to my flat for an at-home massage.
With my boyfriend banished to the bedroom with a plentiful supply of coffee and Sunday papers, she produced a massage bed, towels, products, scented candles and relaxing music – everything necessary to turn my living room into a temporary spa. Then she set about the treatments. I had an amazing Aromatherapy Associates Revive Evening Massage – knots that have lived in my muscles for years were expertly worked out – followed by a pampering Aromatherapy Associates Renew Radiance Facial that left my skin glowing and refreshed. I had worried that my flat wouldn’t be peaceful and relaxing enough to enjoy the experience, but it was strangely comforting to hear everybody else pottering about in the building. Although, of course, if you have a handful of small children or noisy flatmates it could be a different story. And I loved that, once relaxed and pampered, I could retire straight to the sofa rather than having to brave the outside world. Can Tebs come back every weekend please?
